Title: Senior Cold Weather Accessories & Swim Designer
Location: New York, NY
Working Model: On-site, 5 days per week

Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 base salary. Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of seasonal cold weather accessory collections across men's, women's, and kids' categories.
- Design hats, beanies, gloves, mittens, scarves, neck warmers, neck gaiters, socks, and related accessories.
- Research market trends, consumer insights, color direction, materials, and competitive products to develop seasonal concepts.
- Create CADs, technical packages, artwork, and design presentations.
- Develop yarns, knit structures, graphics, trims, embellishments, and branding details.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, Sales, Technical Design, and Sourcing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Partner with overseas factories and vendors on product development, costing, sampling, revisions, and production.
- Present seasonal concepts, collections, and product assortments to leadership and retail partners.
- Manage multiple brands, product categories, and seasonal calendars while meeting deadlines.
- Ensure products align with brand standards, customer expectations, quality requirements, and commercial objectives.
- Mentor junior designers and interns while contributing to overall creative direction.
- Stay current on emerging trends, materials, construction techniques, and market opportunities within cold weather accessories.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience designing cold weather accessories.
- Strong experience designing knit hats, gloves, scarves, socks, and related accessory categories.
- Deep understanding of yarns, knit structures, trims, embellishments, and accessory construction.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience creating CADs, technical packages, artwork, and product presentations.
- Strong trend forecasting, color development, and merchandising skills.
- Experience working directly with overseas factories and manufacturing partners.
- Ability to manage multiple brands, categories, and seasonal deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Experience developing products for licensed brands and major retail partners preferred.
- Background in outdoor, active, performance, or sportswear products is a plus.
- Knowledge of technical materials, thermal technologies, and performance features preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative design environment.
