Salary Range: $100,000–$135,000

Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager serves as the company’s senior HR leader, overseeing employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, compliance, and HR operations. This role partners closely with leadership and external service providers to create a positive employee experience, ensure legal compliance, and implement scalable people practices that support business growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Employee Experience
- Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers.
- Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Provide guidance on policies, employee concerns, and workplace best practices.
- Support leadership development, communication effectiveness, and employee feedback initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to ensure employees feel supported, informed, and aligned with organizational goals.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruiting across corporate, retail, production, and creative functions.
- Manage consistent hiring processes and workforce planning efforts.
- Develop and oversee onboarding programs that support employee success and retention.
Performance Management & Development
- Design and administer performance review and development programs.
- Partner with managers on performance improvement, coaching, and career development.
- Support succession planning and organizational growth strategies.
- Establish systems that promote accountability, employee growth, and retention.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Partner with external HR and benefits providers to manage employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California regulations.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, policies, and handbook updates.
- Support accommodations, leave administration, and HR best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership on employee-related matters while coordinating with teams responsible for payroll and timekeeping.
Organizational Development
- Evaluate and improve HR policies, processes, and organizational structures.
- Develop scalable HR programs to support business growth.
- Lead or support change management initiatives.
- Analyze workforce trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Balance employee engagement with operational effectiveness and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience supporting small to mid-sized organizations, ideally in fashion, luxury, retail, creative, or entrepreneurial environments.
- Strong knowledge of California employment law.
- Experience managing employee relations, performance management, benefits, HRIS systems, and external HR partners.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
