Designer – Girls Sets
Location: New York, NY
Work Model: Hybrid, 4 days onsite
Compensation: $70K–$95K Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.
A leading apparel company is seeking a Designer – Girls Sets to develop seasonal girls’ apparel with a strong focus on commercially relevant sets.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop seasonal girls’ sets and apparel
- Conduct trend and competitive research to inform silhouettes, colors, prints, and details
- Create sketches, CADs, inspiration boards, and presentations
- Develop and maintain tech packs and product information in PLM
- Partner with Design, Sales, and Merchandising throughout development and production
- Support fabric, trim, and component development
- Manage multiple projects and seasonal deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 3–4+ years of girls or children’s apparel design experience
- Experience designing girls’ sets required
- Strong understanding of garment construction and fabrics
- Commercial, trend-focused design perspective
- Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator
- PLM experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Portfolio required
