Job Summary
We are seeking a Director of Brand Strategy to define, evolve, and scale global brand strategy at an enterprise level. This role is highly strategic, focused on long-term brand positioning, architecture, and market differentiation.
This leader will translate business objectives, customer insights, and market dynamics into a cohesive, scalable brand strategy that ensures alignment across regions, functions, and channels. They will serve as the organization’s central authority on brand strategy, distinct from creative production and campaign execution.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can influence senior stakeholders, inspire teams, and build frameworks that elevate brand consistency and impact globally.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Define and refine global brand positioning, narrative, and value proposition
- Translate business goals and market insights into clear, actionable brand strategies
- Align brand direction with overall company growth priorities
- Develop long-term brand strategy and initiatives to build equity
- Establish brand architecture across products, segments, and markets
- Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for brand health (e.g., awareness, perception, equity)
Brand Identity & Systems
- Establish and govern global brand identity, including visual systems, voice, and guidelines
- Build scalable frameworks that ensure consistency across all touchpoints
- Define enterprise-wide standards and governance models for internal and external teams
- Create guardrails that enable flexibility while protecting brand integrity
Creative Direction & Oversight
- Provide strategic oversight to internal and external creative teams
- Set the creative vision for campaigns, storytelling, and content initiatives
- Establish frameworks that guide creative development while ensuring alignment to brand strategy
- Evaluate creative output based on strategic impact and business outcomes
- Elevate overall creative quality and effectiveness across the organization
Global Brand Governance
- Ensure brand consistency across markets while enabling local relevance
- Define governance processes, decision rights, and approval structures
- Implement scalable review mechanisms to maintain brand quality
- Partner with regional teams to localize strategy without diluting core identity
- Serve as an escalation point for brand-related decisions
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, growth, and regional leadership
- Influence executive stakeholders on brand implications of strategic decisions
- Lead and develop brand strategy capabilities internally
- Manage and mentor team members, agencies, and partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Business, or related field
- 10–12+ years of experience in brand strategy, branding, or related disciplines
- Proven experience building and operationalizing brand strategy at scale
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence executive decision-making and drive alignment
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting brand and market data
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
