Title: Costing Associate
Company Description: Fast-growing children’s apparel company with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. New headcount supporting a high-volume business across multiple apparel categories.
Location: New York, NY (In-office)
Salary: $75000 – $80,000
Salary is an estimated range provided by JPSearch and is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own product costing from development through production
- Build and maintain cost sheets
- Negotiate with overseas factories and vendors
- Analyze costs and identify savings opportunities
- Partner with Production, PD, Design, and Sales on margin goals
- Maintain costing data, reporting, and system accuracy
Requirements:
- 3+ years in apparel costing, production, or product development
- Strong garment construction and costing knowledge
- Experience with overseas factories
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
- Children’s apparel and wholesale experience preferred
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
