Title: Production & Logistics Specialist

Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite)
Salary: $70-80K
Salary is an estimated range provided by JPSearch and commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in PO planning and allocation
- Create vendor PO’s, ensure their accuracy and manage all changes
- Communicate daily with factories
- Follow up with suppliers for all details related to Production and Delivery, as required by the head of Production (example : status of Lab dips/ Various Fit samples/ Trim approvals etc)
- Schedule, coordinate, log and approve all Inspection Reports and any required testing with 3rd party agencies
- Track PO’s and follow up for when goods will be ready and approved to be handed over to the forwarder to ensure timely deliveries
- Establish Timelines for each Order in conjunction with factory and Director Production, and ensure all Activities are on track
- Escalate all potential issues to Supervisor, to ensure on time delivery
- Advise the maker on logistics requirements such as Carton markings, packing, required labeling and details of certain nominated suppliers, and ensure compliance thereof
- Track shipments until they are received in house and advise of any delays or issues
- Coordinate with Design, Fit and other cross-functional teams Logistics – Import & Export Documentation and Manage Process
- Import entry approval with 3rd party Forwarder and Broker
- Prepare, monitor and maintain changes to the Ocean Rate Sheet, Import Manual, Order Logs, and any Import Documents including commercial invoices
- Prepare and validate payment requests and coordinate with Finance for payment emission
- Responsible for late or short Import purchase orders – responsible to advise internal team for late and/or short purchase orders
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required; 2-year college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of technical design and/or textiles is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years production and/ or logistics experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel, Word, and ability to learn client proprietary systems such as EDI and Sage
