Title: Accounting Associate (Accounts Payable)

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment processing

Perform verifications of journal, ledger, and other record entries

Post journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records

Manage ActivePay and PositivePay FTP payment files to banks
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end accrual schedules
-
Prepare year-end 1099 and 1096 forms in compliance with regulations
-
Compile, audit, and review credit card reports to ensure proper documentation and accuracy

Monitor company travel programs and employee PNC usage compliance
-
Administer purchasing and credit card programs

Submit checks and vouchers for review and signature
-
Maintain appropriate records and correspondence regarding expected payments

Support filing, documentation, and general administrative accounting tasks
Requirements:

College degree required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience as an accountant working in a luxury, or retail fashion or jewelry environment

Basic understanding of accounting principles and best practices
-
Experience with Excel and Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Solid math and analytical skills

Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Experience with credit card administration and purchase ordering preferred
