Title: Senior Designer – Men's & Women's Wovens
Location: Norfolk, CT
Salary: $100,000-$120,000
*Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.
Responsibilities:
– Manage multiple projects & deadlines within the design/development calendar while maintaining creative integrity & attention to detail
– Manage weekly meetings with cross departments to ensure all design notes from Creative Director are followed and clear to proceed.
– Create detailed technical sketches to clearly communicate design intent, fabrication and construction details
– Curate board for internal presentations to our Creative Director
– Create in depth CADs that follow line plan provided by Merchandising team.
– Manage seasonal RLM entries and ensure all entries are up to date with seasonal changes
– Build/ Manage seasonal folders with all design information / approvals per for internal organization.
– Oversee design fittings with Development providing thoughtful design input to ensure integrity of fit, proportion & aesthetic
– Provide design solutions and suggestions for all on-going seasons (more than one season happening at a time).
– Manage all 2D Flats and familiarize past season styles to provide suggestions during the concepting stage.
– Collaborate with Raw Materials department and ensure deadlines are met.
– Partner with Development & Tech Designer to ensure fit integrity, fabrication feasibility
Qualifications:
*6-8 years of experience in woven
*Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD sketching
*Experience working in RLM system
*Strong technical ability: pattern awareness, construction knowledge, embroidery & print techniques
*Excellent organizational, time management, communication & presentation skills *Ability to balance creative direction with production realities In-depth knowledge in garment construction
*Knowledge in Textiles and Raw Materials
