Position Summary
The Overnight Accounting Clerk will be responsible for accurate and timely entry of financial data, document management, and light administrative duties. This role plays an essential part in maintaining daily accounting operations and supporting a smooth handoff to the day team.
Key Responsibilities
- Data entry for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory transactions
- Ensure proper filing, retention, and archiving of purchase, inventory, sales documents, and other files
- Light phone duties and customer contact as needed
- Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial and operational reports
- Mail out signed checks and file backup documentation
- Mail out customer statements
- Perform other administrative and accounting support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year prior experience in an administrative and/or clerical role
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to work independently, resourcefully, and be trustworthy and reliable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to deliver effective results and meet deadlines and targets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with accounting systems is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work the required schedule, Monday through Friday, 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Bilingual Spanish and English preferred
Salary: $21-$23hr
