Inventory Control Manager

Title: Inventory Control Manager

Location: New York, NY

Working Model: Onsite 5 days/week for first 90 days, then 4 days/week

Responsibilities:

• Oversee receiving activities, stock transfers, and inventory adjustments across retail stores, warehouses, and e-commerce channels

• Maintain inventory accuracy in Retail Pro and other systems; approve and audit inventory movements

• Lead operational communication with store teams regarding stock discrepancies and investigations

• Manage cycle counts, end-of-season reconciliation, and ensure timely reporting and posting of returns

• Support loss prevention by investigating adjustment trends and operational irregularities

• Partner with Logistics, Merchandising, E-Shop, Wholesale, and Finance teams for process alignment and improvements

• Implement process audits, workflow redesigns, and system updates to improve inventory control and accuracy

Requirements:

• 4+ years of inventory control, logistics, wholesale, or operations experience in a retail or fashion environment

• Experience in multi-brand and multi-location retail settings preferred

• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, reconciliation processes, and financial alignment

• Ability to partner cross-functionally with Store Operations, Merchandising, E-Commerce, Wholesale, and Finance teams

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills), Retail Pro, and Apparel Magic preferred; additional WMS/ERP familiarity a plus

• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies or data errors

• Self-starter with strong initiative and disciplined approach to process execution
