About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Associate Marketing Director to lead and develop a diverse brand portfolio within the UK market. This is a senior leadership position responsible for setting strategic direction, driving commercial performance, shaping brand strategy, and leading a high-performing team across marketing, brand management, and sales.
The successful candidate will own full P&L responsibility, champion brand growth, and ensure that UK strategies are aligned with global standards. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced beauty industry leader to shape brand success at a national level.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Management
- Lead the full UK brand portfolio, setting business objectives, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee full P&L performance, ensuring sustainable profitability and achievement of key KPIs.
- Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Adapt global brand strategies into market-relevant plans that resonate with UK consumers and retail partners.
- Provide ongoing market insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Commercial & Sales Management
- Develop and execute trade and distribution strategies that expand market presence and strengthen channel performance.
- Monitor sales results, identify opportunities, and implement rapid actions to meet revenue and margin goals.
- Partner with key retailers on joint business planning, promotional activities, and brand-building initiatives.
- Work closely with Sales and Ecommerce teams to ensure strong execution across all channels.
- Drive commercial excellence and operational efficiency.
Marketing & Brand Building
- Oversee the integrated marketing calendar, ensuring impactful campaigns across ATL, digital, PR, and influencer channels.
- Ensure brand consistency and creativity across all consumer touchpoints.
- Use consumer insights, market data, and trend analysis to guide brand messaging and strategy.
- Lead new product launches with seamless cross-functional alignment.
- Strengthen brand equity through compelling storytelling and cohesive brand experience.
Financial Management & Forecasting
- Develop and manage annual budgets across sales, marketing, and brand operations.
- Monitor financial performance and drive improvements in cost efficiency and profitability.
- Partner closely with Finance on forecasting, business reviews, and long-term planning.
- Ensure all investments deliver measurable ROI and strategic benefit.
Cross-functional & Global Collaboration
- Act as the strategic liaison between UK teams and global brand functions, ensuring alignment on direction and standards.
- Collaborate with supply chain, HR, finance, and ecommerce teams to achieve business goals.
- Represent UK brand performance in global and regional strategy reviews.
- Support senior leadership in building a cohesive, high-performing organisation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and inspire a multi-functional brand and marketing team.
- Set clear KPIs, provide continuous feedback, and conduct structured performance assessments.
- Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Partner with HR to attract, retain, and develop top-tier talent.
About You
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years' progressive experience in brand management, marketing, commercial leadership, or general management—ideally within beauty, skincare, or premium FMCG.
- Demonstrated success in managing P&L and delivering sustainable business growth.
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience managing and inspiring teams.
- Deep understanding of the UK retail and ecommerce landscape.
- Ability to balance creative brand-building with commercial decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
