Title: Accounting Technician

Location: Laval, QC

Working Model: Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Salary: $60,000–70,000 — Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping and ensure accuracy of accounting data
• Carry out bank reconciliations in a rigorous and timely manner
• Prepare documents and reports for financial analysis
• Analyze and validate internal credit card reports
• Review and approve employee expense accounts
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare tax filings and reports (GST/QST)
• Contribute to preparation of financial statements
• Support continuous improvement of internal accounting processes and tools

Requirements:

• DEC in Accounting or equivalent post-secondary diploma
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
• Current or previous experience working for a retail company as an accountant
• Bilingual (French/English) – spoken and written
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
• Proficiency with computer tools and comfort with IT systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
• Demonstrated autonomy and initiative in daily tasks
